Solve the business problem, not the request
Most studios build exactly what you asked for. We ask what the work is costing you first, then design around that. Sometimes the answer is smaller than what you came in for.
Glasshead Tech is a founder-led technology studio in Edmonton, Alberta. We build software, AI automation and websites, run IT support, keep client data where the client needs it, and publish our prices. Clear vision, bold ideas, and a fixed quote before work starts.

The studio
Glasshead Tech is a founder-led studio in Edmonton. We exist because we kept meeting owners who were paying for systems that did not fit: a website nobody could edit, an AI tool nobody had asked for, a platform with fifty features and no way to produce a quote, a subscription for a tool the crew had quietly stopped using.
Small and mid-sized companies are sold software built for someone else. They adapt their work to the product, pay monthly for the privilege, and discover at renewal that their data is difficult to leave with. We think the better answer is usually smaller and more specific: a tool shaped like the business, owned by the business, and supported by people who answer the phone.
We work mostly remotely with clients across Alberta and Canada, and in person around Edmonton when it helps. Every engagement follows the same five stages, and every stage ends with something you can look at. We will tell you when we disagree, and we will tell you when something can wait.
Our prices are on the website because a meeting spent discovering we are far apart helps nobody. If our ranges suit you, the next step is a 30-minute call.

We build to Alberta PIPA, POPA and HIA expectations from the first sketch, keep data on Canadian infrastructure, and document decisions so a privacy review does not mean starting over.
You can see what we charge before you speak to us. It means neither of us wastes a meeting finding out we are far apart, and the quote you receive is fixed.
Website, software, automation, hosting and support from the same team. No triangulating between a designer, a developer and an IT provider when something breaks at five o'clock.
A lot of Alberta work happens where signal is poor and hands are full. We build offline-tolerant, fast on bad connections and usable in gloves, then test it that way.
Your code, your data, your accounts, documented at handover. Leaving should always be possible, even if you never do it. Ongoing care is monthly and cancellable.
We design to the expectations of Alberta's PIPA, HIA and, for public bodies, the Protection of Privacy Act (POPA), depending on who you are and what you hold. Personal data stays on Canadian infrastructure. We write privacy-impact-assessment-ready documentation as we build, so a review does not mean reconstructing decisions later. Alberta is consulting on modernising PIPA in 2026, and we are building with that direction in mind. We are not your lawyer, and we will say where you need one.
We learn how the work flows today, including the spreadsheets and group chats nobody mentions in the first meeting, and write down what success looks like.
Structure before surface. We map the system, agree the scope and price, then design the screens so the interface reflects how the business really runs.
Production-grade from the first commit. You see working software during the build, so surprises arrive early, while changing course is still cheap.
Migration, testing, training and a controlled go-live. We plan the rollback before we need it, and hand over documentation your team can use.
We watch how it gets used and fix what the real world exposes. Software is never finished at launch, and ongoing care is how it stays good.
You work directly with the people who do the work, and the founder is involved in every engagement. You will not be handed to an account manager. Questions get answered by someone who knows the project, usually within the same business day and always within 24 hours.
No. Glasshead Tech is based in Edmonton and serves the surrounding region, central and northern Alberta, and clients across Canada. Projects run remotely by default, with on-site visits in the Edmonton region when they help. Prices and timelines are the same everywhere.
Both, and the services around them. The studio builds websites and custom software, adds AI automation where it earns its place, and runs IT support and security reviews. One team across the stack means nobody has to coordinate a designer, a developer and an IT provider.
Yes, in practical terms. We build to the expectations of PIPA, HIA and, for public bodies, POPA (which replaced FOIP in 2025), write privacy-impact-assessment-ready documentation as we go, and say when you need a lawyer. We are not your legal adviser, and we will tell you where that line sits.
Yes, carefully. AI helps with drafting and checking, and a person reviews everything that reaches a client. For client systems, AI steps are built with a person approving anything customer-facing or financial, and the client is told which provider and region handles each step.
Send a few lines about what is slowing you down. We reply within 24 hours, and a short call is enough to know whether we can help.
